We handle this information in the following way:
The personal information you enter or send us, including but not limited to your first name, last name, e-mail address, street address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, fax number, credit card number, and credit card expiration date, is used solely for the purposes of processing your order, updating your order, fullfilling or responding to your information requests (i.e. catalogues and/or mailing list etc), or to contact you when needed during the processing of your orders. Our database server also collect anonymous information such as website usage information and IP addresses automatically. This information is used solely for the purposes of improving our site design, planning our product assortments, providing better customer service, and introducing special promotions.
If necessary, this information will be passed to third parties we use (i.e. payment processors, order fulfillment house, or database/email maintenance and administration agents etc). These third party service providers have access to the information in order to perform their functions, however, they are legally bound not to use the information for any other purposes.
Information may also be disclosed to government law agencies if required by law, or if we deem it necessary to do in order to protect the public.
Taiga Marketing will not share, sell or lease information about you to any non-related third parties.
Cookies and Browsers
To enhance your shopping experience on our web shops and to improve our websites for you, cookies are used specifically to grant a more personalized surfing experience on Taiga Marketing websites. They are smalls bit of information that will be stored on your computer by our websites when you view one of them. These cookies will not compromise the security of your computer. No other information, including your Personally Identifiable Information, will be saved by these cookies, aside from your transactions and activities with us and our web shops. Cookies are necessary for the shopping cart technology that we use, which keep track of items in your shopping cart. They allow us to tailor a website to better match your interests and preferences.
Most Internet Browsers allow you to erase cookies from your hard drive, disable cookies, or receive a warning before a cookie is stored. You can indicate this in the preferences or options menus in your browser. Please refer to your Browser instructions to learn more about these functions. However, it is possible that some parts of our web shops will not operate correctly if you disable cookies.

Online Account Registration
You may register with our web shops to enhance your shopping experience. You only have to enter your billing address or shipping addresses once when you open an account or create an order, which will then be securely stored in our database for your future use. Please note that we strongly encourage you to LOG OUT at the conclusion of your session for your protection, especially when you are using a public computer. This will prevent someone else from accessing your personal information from that computer.
Our web shops are general audience sites, and Taiga Marketing has no intention of collecting or maintaining any personal information from those we actually know are under 13. No parts of our web shops are targeted to anyone under 13. Taiga Marketing urges all parents to supervise their children while they are using the Internet, and use web filtering technology to control children’s access to the web.
We retain your information for as long as necessary to permit us to use it for the purposes that we have communicated to you and comply with applicable law or regulations.
Your personal information is maintained with high standards of information security. The information is stored on servers with firewall protection, and Secure Socket Layering (“SSL”) transmission is used to encrypt the sensitive information you entered during your order. SSL is encryption technology that provides security while information is being transmitted over the Internet.All of our web shops are designed to accept orders only from Web browsers that permit communication through SSL technology, such as 4.0 versions or higher of Netscape Navigator, versions 5.01 or higher of Internet Explorer, versions 0.8 or higher of Firefox and versions 1.2 or higher of Safari.
We also take physical and administrative steps to handle the security of your personal information, including limiting the number of people who have physical access to our database servers. Please note that the messages sent through e-mail and the “Contact Us” tab of our web shops are not encrypted. Thus, we do not encourage our customer to send credit card information through such means.
To abolish the risk of credit card information being compromised, Taiga Marketing chooses not to retain your credit card data on our servers for the web shops. Taiga Marketing does NOT save your credit card information. The credit card data you entered during shopping will be sent directly to the payment processor for that particular transaction. Everytime you return to shop, you will have to enter the credit card information. However, Taiga Marketing feels it is a small inconvenience to endure for assured security.
While we implement the above security measures on this site, you should be aware that 100% security is not always possible.
Your California Privacy Rights
Under California Civil Code sections 1798.83-1798.84, California residents have the right to receive, once a year, a description of the categories of personal information we share with third parties, and a list of the third parties and affiliates with which it was shared, along with their names and addresses.
